Welcome to the Zika Challenge!
The Zika virus and the mosquitoes that can transmit it have become a serious issue in Florida. Our goal is to make sure all of our residents know how to best protect themselves from Zika and from mosquitoes that can spread a number of different diseases. To make this a little more fun we are having a contest!
The process is simple:
- Watch two short videos about the Zika virus and some mosquito repellent ideas that don’t work.
- Fill out a short form with your contact information.
- Wait and see if you’ve won!
Prizes
We are still adding to our prize stash, but this is what we have so far for lots of lucky winners:
- 2 tickets to the Butterfly Rainforest at the University of Florida Museum of Natural History in Gainesville, Florida ($12 value each)
- 3 gift certificates to Beef O’ Brady’s restaurant ($10 value each)
- 2 tickets to lunch and tour of the Chinsegut Manor House, Brooksville, FL. ($15 value each)
- 1 ticket to Bok Tower Gardens ($12 value)
- 112 free appetizer cards to Outback Steakhouse ($10 value each)
- 20 gift cards from Chick-Fil-A for a free chocolate chunk cookie or a small ice cream cone (Yum!)
The contest will run until Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at which point the winners will be chosen from everyone who completely filled out the entry form. Winners will be contacted by either phone or e-mail on September 7th.
Directions to Enter
To participate you must be a Florida resident, at least 18 years old and submit the entry form in its entirety. We will not share or sell your contact information. We need this information in order to contact the winners and track participation.
Each person may only enter once and we will be sending everyone a follow-up survey in a few weeks. We would really appreciate it if you could fill out the survey when it arrives in your email.
